The Lodge has 46 Standard rooms of varying configurations providing the discerning traveler with good quality accommodation. The rooms are well appointed and nicely furnished, decorated with wrought iron and rattan cane furniture, terracotta tiles, wooden louver blinds and colorful fabrics. This Mediterranean feel makes for very pleasant surrounds.

From the expansive timber pool deck, covered by an enormous sail, to the freeform swimming pool surrounded by bush rock and Pandanus palms, nothing quite prepares you for the unique attraction in the heart of the property, "Willie McBride's Irish Bar and Restaurant".

Willie McBride's Bar is a fabulous example of an authentic Victorian Dublin Pub – a charming reminder of days gone by. Complete with ornate timberwork, polished brass fittings, etched and leadlight glasswork, private booths and a pressed metal ceiling, it is truly a little masterpiece. In typical Irish style the bar has one of the few working fireplaces in Cairns, which is lit during the cooler months for extra coziness. Another special feature of the bar is the "snug box" – a private booth with a door that can hide away couples wishing to sit in private.

The restaurant offers indoor dining in the corral, or outdoor dining on the pool deck covered by an enormous sail. ‘Willie McBride's’ restaurant is famous for its superb steaks, sensational seafood, and regional cuisine, and has become a very popular destination with the locals. A sure sign to any visitor.

As a privately owned establishment, the "Figtree Lodge" prides itself on the warm and friendly environment that has been created.
